IGSA Regulatory Outreach
The IGSA Regulatory Committee held a special session where the Chairs of the Cyber Resiliency, Ethical AI, and Emerging Technology committees provided an update on their activities. The Chair of the Regulatory Committee, which is only open to members of the Regulatory community who may participate in the committee without having to formally join IGSA, requested the update.
Following the update, IGSA received a request from several regulatory authorities seeking to ask members of the Cyber Resiliency Committee direct questions on what they should consider when crafting cyber security requirements. This led to a special meeting of the Cyber Security Committee allowing regulators to attend and to ask those questions.
The hour-long meeting went by quickly, and there was a very good exchange of questions and answers, as well as thoughtful insight and idea sharing. We encourage Regulatory Authorities to ask for similar meetings related to any IGSA committee, Standard, or Best Practice. We look forward to hosting similar meetings in the future.

IGSA Technical Summit (GSATS) November 12-13 2025
We are very excited and honored to announce that Mr. Mike Dreitzer, Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, will be giving the GSATS Opening Day Keynote address.
Chairman Dreitzer has had an amazing career in the gaming industry and brings years of experience as a C-suite member for several gaming companies, both in gaming law and gaming compliance.

COMMITTEE UPDATES
ETHICAL AI
The Ethical AI committee did not meet in July due to vacations and other commitments. The next meeting will occur in August.
CYBER RESILIENCY
The Cyber Resiliency committee met on July 29th and, as described above, held a special session to address regulatory authority questions. The next regular meeting will occur in August.
EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES
The Emerging Technologies committee met on July 29th and agreed to tackle Blockchain, also known as Distributed Ledger, technology. Given the recent signing of the Genius Act and renewed interest in Cryptocurrencies, the committee believes that creating a data dictionary of terms and definitions and a set of Best Practices, would be of great benefit to regulators. The committee will meet again in August.
PAYMENTS
The Payments committee had a KYC 2.0 workgroup kick-off meeting. Several committee members participated and discussed the areas of KYC that require updating. The Payments Committee will have a regular meeting in August.
RESPONSIBLE GAMING
Progress is being made on creating a coalition of organizations working in the player protection space to define terms, align messaging, and collaborate on providing education, tools and services to the industry. Please stay tuned!
