COMMITTEE UPDATES

ETHICAL AI

The Ethical AI committee met on September 29, and continued working on the Definitions section of the FAQ. The discussion has identified some additional Best Practices that may need to be created, especially ones dealing with AI-based applications built on top of third-party black-box AI tools. The next meeting will be in late October.

CYBER RESILIENCY

The Cyber Resiliency committee last met on September 9 and 23, and is moving forward rapidly on Best Practices. The committee has reached consensus on several. The next meeting date is to be decided.

EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES

The Emerging Technologies committee met on September 22, and continues to make progress on defining how the BMM-donated Blockchain Standard can be converted into Best Practices regarding usage and testing. One of the challenges is to explain Blockchain without overly relying on highly technical language. The next meeting will be announced later in October.

PAYMENTS

The Payments committee’s KYC 2.0 workgroup has been meeting regularly, and have defined the scope of the work they intend to tackle. They expect to create a number of case studies, with the first one outlining KYC protocols at the federal level and KYC state gaming policies. In addition to the workgroup, the Payments Committee will look to meet in late October.

RESPONSIBLE GAMING

Progress is being made on creating a coalition of organizations working in the player protection space to define terms, align messaging, and collaborate on providing education, tools, and services to the industry. Please stay tuned!

Eligible Members wishing to participate in any committees should send a request to michelleo@igsa.org.
