News – Letter from the President
GSATS 2025
Based on the feedback we received from attendees, this year’s IGSA Technical Summit was a great success! Despite travel disruptions due to the Government shutdown impacting several attendees, with some speakers having to participate remotely and others unable to attend, we had a fantastic line up of speakers and panelists highlighted by the keynote address given by Mr. Mike Dreitzer, Chairman of the NVGCB, who truly set the tone for the conference!
While there were many highlights, three that really stood out were the panel discussions about combating illegal gaming, responsible gaming, and improving know-your-customer processes.
Many thanks are in order to the regulators from Arizona, Ohio, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Turks & Caicos, and Ontario, Canada who attended, spoke, and provided unique perspectives on the topics discussed!
We are now planning for GSATS 2026 and are asking for your input, specifically on the following areas:
- Would the 3rd or 4th week of October be a better time for the conference?
- Would a location in the Midwest, Northeast or West Coast be better than Phoenix?

ICE Barcelona 2026
IGSA will once again be at ICE in Barcelona on January 19-21, 2026! We look forward to meeting with existing and potential new members during the exhibition. Our booth this year is part of the Associations Assembly area 3X70, so please feel free to drop by! We are grateful to Clarion Events for their continued support of IGSA and the work that we do!

COMMITTEE UPDATES
CYBER RESILIENCY
The Cyber Resiliency committee last met on November 6, and is moving forward rapidly on Best Practices. The committee discussed data governance and AI model threats. The next meeting is scheduled for December 15.
EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES
The Emerging Technologies committee will be holding its next meeting in December.
ETHICAL AI
The Ethical AI committee will meet on a date to be announced in December.
GAMING DEVICE STANDARD (GDS)
This committee has been dormant for some time, as no updates have been requested of the widely adopted GDS Standard. However, we have received requests to develop a GDS toolkit from companies that have and are implementing GDS. We will be looking to restart this committee to determine how this identified need can be met, and will be reaching out to past GDS Committee participants. If you are a former GDS Committee member and want to participate, please get in touch with Michelle or Mark!
PAYMENTS
The Payments committee will be meeting in December to continue the KYC 2.0 work.
RESPONSIBLE GAMING
This committee will be relaunching in 2026.
