News – Letter from the President
ICE Barcelona 2026
The gaming industry is once again full of exciting conferences and shows! However, some are a cut above the rest, and ICE Barcelona certainly qualifies as a top-tier event! Many thanks are in order to Clarion Exhibitions for providing us with an amazing booth in the Associations Assembly area. We were in great company with AGEM, ECA, NIGA and UNLV. A big thank you as well goes to all of our current and potential Members who stopped by. We had great conversations with a number of companies around the value IGSA Membership provides. We also had an opportunity to visit with Members in their booths. All in all another, it was another excellent ICE show!
2026 Membership Renewals and Additions
2026 Membership is looking very strong! Membership renewal is in line, if not ahead, of previous years, with lots of Members having already renewed their membership. Members who have not yet paid their 2026 dues are encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
We have also been approached by several companies looking to join IGSA in 2026. These potentially new members are seeking to launch new committees focusing on creating Best Practices or Standards in distinct areas of the industry. Stay tuned for more information on new committees!
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
We are very excited to launch our Member Spotlight with Aristocrat Technologies!
In this section, we ask our Members to explain why they are IGSA Members and the value they see from that membership, Standards and Best Practices.
COMMITTEE UPDATES
CYBER RESILIENCY
The Cyber Resiliency committee met on January 27. The group agreed to several new best practices with more work needed on others. The groups next meeting date is February 24.
EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES
The committee will meet again in February to determine next steps in terms of the technology Best Practices to undertake.
ETHICAL AI
The committee met in January and continued working on defining terms within the FAQ. The committee will resume their work during the February meeting.
GAMING DEVICE STANDARD (GDS)
This committee will be restarted in 2026 to address the creation of an updated toolkit.
PAYMENTS
The Payments committee has completed work on a letter providing input to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on their KYC 2.0 project based on the work the committee is doing on KYC. This committee will also be looking to create a new workgroup to evaluate Best Practices for Crypto Exchanges. The next meeting will be in February.
RESPONSIBLE GAMING
This committee will be relaunching in 2026.
REGULATORY
The Regulatory committee will meet again on February 10. Send a request to michelleo@igsa.org to be added to the reflector!
