IGSA at ICE in Barcelona
From the early ICE days at Earl’s Court to the more recent ExCel venue, both in London, IGSA has had a booth on the show floor thanks to Clarion Events. This year was no exception! IGSA had a great booth at the inaugural ICE Barcelona!
In addition to staffing the booth and meeting with existing and potential members, I took the opportunity to visit with many of our Members in their booths.

I also participated on a Responsible Gaming panel in the Sustainable Gambling Zone comparing and contrasting technology used to protect players in the land-based versus online space.
GSATS 2025
Based on the input we received from attendees of last year’s International Gaming Standards Technical Summit (GSATS), we have decided to hold the 2025 edition at the same location, Harrah’s Ak-Chin Hotel & Casino, just outside Phoenix, on November 12-13. More information on this year’s Focus topic will be forthcoming. We will also be sending out a call for Speakers / Presenters and for Sponsors. IGSA 2025 Membership
IGSA’s updated Membership & Dues structure has been well embraced by both current and new members. I am very pleased to report that almost all of our existing Members have already renewed! A big thank you to our Members is in order! In more great news, I am excited at the number of companies looking to join IGSA as new Members. Lastly I want to say that I’m looking forward to working with our Director-Level top-tier Members which includes Aristocrat, Konami, Light & Wonder and Playtech!
I would like to encourage our Members to share the new Levels and Dues with non-member companies who may be interested in joining IGSA. If you have any questions, please send an email to [email protected] and she’ll be happy to provide additional details.
IGSA Board of Directors Election
We are in the process of holding the 2025 Board of Directors election. As part of our updated Membership Structure, Members at the Director, Industry, Vertical and Operator levels each have a dedicated number of Board seats available. We will announce our new Board in mid-February and wish to thank our Members’ representatives who have chosen to put their name forward as Board candidates.
Committee Updates
Ethical AI (AIC)
The Ethical AI committee met on January 28 and continued to review Regulatory Committee’s input on the Best Practices created. The resulting review and modifications have been almost completed, and the committee will seek approval from the Board to share their work after next month’s meeting.
Cyber Resiliency (CRC)
The Cyber Resiliency committee met on January 27 and reviewed the current status of their Best Practices project.
Emerging Technologies (ETC)
After hearing so much about Emerging Technologies at GSATS 2024, the decision has been made to hold the first meeting of this new committee to February 2025.
Payments (PC)
The Payments Committee’s work group creating the Data Dictionary met on January 29. Their work will be shared with the full Payments Committee at the this committee’s last open meeting, which is scheduled for early February. Subsequent meetings of both the committee and working group will be open only to IGSA Members.

Responsible Gaming (RGC)
This committee is still on hiatus.
