RESPONSIBLE GAMING COMMITTEE (RGC)
CHARTER
The Responsible Gaming Standards Committee (RGC) is charged with identifying a framework to empower Regulators to implement a responsible gaming model that can evolve and improve over time. This charter serves to create a responsible gaming model that invites jurisdictions to embrace a journey from awareness to implementation.
SCOPE
The scope of the RGC is to provide regulators and operators with a Responsible Gaming Model
(RGM) that offers a path from discovery to accountable RG management. The RGM would offer levels of responsible gaming from conceptual to qualitative to quantitative to ensure regulators and operators can evolve from implementing a basic policy to managing a precise dashboard of KPIs generated from quantitative data.
The RGC will work collaboratively to explore the opportunities and challenges associated with current responsible gaming policies to create a foundation for operators and regulators to evolve to a proactive, responsible gaming framework. The RGC will explore methodologies that identify practical solutions to existing and foreseeable challenges and facilitate the sharing of best practices with all industry stakeholders.
OBLIGATIONS
The committee shall:
- Provide a framework to guide Industry Stakeholders on how to adopt responsible gaming standards that promote positive play and player empowerment
- Consider and utilize commonly accepted best-of-breed industry standards whenever possible to fulfill its charter.
- Solicit input from IGSA members, IGSA committees, Industry groups including Regulators and specialty groups that can add value to this Committee.
- Produce, under the direction of the committee Chair, an annual plan with objectives that are consistent with the IGSA’s annual plan or board directives.
- The RGC commits to continuous improvement of the model.
