News – Letter from the President

IGSA Technical Summit (GSATS)

The verdict is in! Based on the anonymous survey results – thanks for all those who submitted them – GSATS 2025 was a resounding success!

Over 65 speakers, moderators and attendees spent two days learning about AI, Metaverse casinos, Augmented, Mixed and Virtual Reality, new 3D technology, Data Analytics, AI-driven video summarization, and so much more!

We intentionally tried to limit the number of people attending GSATS to make it a more intimate conference, where participants could truly network and make new connections. As one attendee put it, akin to ‘Chatham House Rules,’ the conference allowed for great conversations during the networking breaks and the Speaker/Delegate cocktail receptions.

We would like to extend a huge thanks to all of the participants, some of whom traveled from overseas to attend!

We have already started the planning for GSATS 2026 with some potentially exciting surprises. Information about it will be released soon, so please keep an eye out for our posts on social media!

NEW 2025 MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

Membership renewals are off to a very strong start. The response to our new Membership structure and dues has been very positive! We are excited to have significant interest in non-member companies joining the new Committee Level membership.

If you have not received a renewal letter or have any questions, please contact Michelle Olesiejuk at [email protected].

Committee Updates

Ethical AI (AIC)

The Ethical AI committee met and finalized the language on the 7th Best Practice. The updated document has been shared with the Regulatory Committee members for feedback and recieved invaluable input. Thank you to the RC members who read and provided their thoughts on the document. This feedback will be discussed during the next meeting.

Cyber Resiliency (CRC)

The Cyber Resiliency committee had a short meeting on November 7 and agreed to meeting again in December.

Emerging Technologies (ETC)

After hearing so much about Emerging Technologies at GSATS, the decision has been made to postpone the first meeting of this committee to January 2025.

Payments (PC)

As reported last month, a working group to create a Data Dictionary standardizing payments terms and identifying differences in jurisdictional regulations has been formed. That group will meet twice in December to finalize a first draft of the dictionary. The last open meeting of the Payments Committee will be held in January. Subsequent meetings of both the committee and working group will be open only to IGSA Members. If you are participating in this committee and are not a member, please contact Michelle Olesiejuk at [email protected] for information on joining.

Responsible Gaming (RGC)

This committee is still on hiatus.

Eligible Members wishing to participate in committees should send a request to [email protected].
