2025 – A Year in Review

The holiday season always provides some time to reflect on the year that’s about to end, as well as to think about what lays ahead for the new year. 2025 was a transformative year for IGSA!

We changed our decades-old membership structure, with the aim of making membership accessible to more companies in order to build greater diversity within the organization. The change grew the association by attracting more operators and technology companies, which has brought new perspectives to our various committees.

We attended and spoke at several conferences. It’s always a pleasure to continue to participate in events that IGSA has been a part of for many years, such as ICE, IGA, G2E and IAGR. We were also excited to extend IGSA’s participation into new regions and new areas of gaming at events such as AGE, CGS, GLS, iGX, and NCLGS. We look forward to continuing to expand our reach and our engagement with the global gaming community!

Our Cyber Resiliency, Ethical AI, and Payments committees continued to make progress in the creation of Best Practices. They published documents, interacted with legislative bodies, and continued to lead the industry in setting baseline requirements designed to help the industry in their respective areas.

Going into 2026, the association is in a strong financial position, thanks to the prospects of further increasing and diversifying our membership, as well as the ability to tackle new challenges in the ever-changing world of gaming.

Onwards to 2026!

I am looking forward to a very productive new year. We will:

  • Seat a new Board of Directors, welcoming back familiar faces and greeting new ones who will help set IGSA’s direction;

  • Update our 3-year Strategic Plan, ensuring that IGSA is dealing with the issues that are most pertinent to its members and the industry at large;

  • Kick off the conference season by participating at ICE in Barcelona, Spain (Associations Assembly area 3X70);

  • Open GSA Africa in Lagos, Nigeria this March, coinciding with the AGE 2026 conference;

  • Seek to establish new committees tacking issues such as Illegal Gambling, Responsible Gaming, Sports Risk, etc;

  • Increase our collaboration with industry organizations on areas of mutual concern; and

  • Continue to create Best Practices and Standards for the betterment of the industry.
